We are delighted to receive contributions to the ATOLep Collection, both of taxa needed specifically for the Leptree molecular project (see Wishlist), and of any genus not already in our list of holdings. The collection is especially in need of identified material of microlepidoptera. If lepidopterists everywhere would contribute just the easily-recognized common species from their areas, the summed result would be an extraordinary resource for the systematic community. (Much of our current material came from the porch lights of colleagues around the world!)

We offer these guidelines for collecting and handling specimens (taken with modification from Tortricidae.com; see also Regier lab protocols). We can provide collecting supplies and additional information to potential contributors, and we encourage them to contact us.
