List of Twig Leaders

To understand the full diversity of Lepidoptera, a community-based approach is needed. Twig leaders are responsible for coordinating contributions from the broad community of Lepidoptera researchers in their twig of specialization. (Detailed contribution instructions are available here). We have 36 recognized twig, and sub-twig leaders collaborating in the LepTree project. If the group you are interested in is not listed here, we currently do not have a twig leader for that superfamily. Please contact C. Mitter, A. Roe, or S. Weller if you are interested in coordinating a missing twig (for a complete list of superfamilies without a twig leader, see here).
